San Diego

No, Saddam did not escape the noose - that's Grandpa Roy!

Grampa Roy and Grandma PD treated the family to a week on Coronado Island. Everyone had a ball on the beach.

Moore ->

On the way home from Canyonlands we stopped and took a picture of the freeway exit sign for Moore, Utah. The NO SERVICES part suited us, but we thought Utah DOT would frown on us if we absconded with their sign. Wouldn't look as good in our front yard anyway.

Canyonlands

Continuing the catch-up: here are some pictures from our trip to Canyonlands in May. We took our trailer dry-camping for the first time - it performed very well! (especially when the hailstorm hit at 5:00 in the morning, the size of marbles). We rented a Jeep to take over Elephant hill and had a blast. We hiked to both Chelser Park and the Confluence - the former providing a beautiful view of the Needles, and the latter a breathtaking overlook of the Green and Colorado Rivers joining together. The highlight of Sarah's trip was driving the Jeep. The only thing standing in they way of her domination of the road was a renegade outhouse. It's still a toss-up as to who won that confrontation.

Easter

Doing some catch-up. Here are some pictures from Easter. Holly and Dean and family came down from SLC to spend the holiday with us in Vegas - talk about egg-citing! We all had a ball - no, scratch that - it was an Easter egg hunt. Parker tackled everyone for the big win.

The Champs!

Parker's team took the league championship today! It was a hard road to the top - the last two games came down to last-second shots. In Parker's words, "They were nailbiters!" They won the championship game by one point.

Parker's team won both the division championship and the league championship, resulting in two trophies. Stacked together, they are as tall as he is!

Meagan's Baptism

Meagan reached her 8 year old milestone and was baptized today by her dad. According to the Bishop, the biggest crowd in the history of the Elkhorn Springs 2nd Ward showed up for the Baptism (somewhere around 46 people). Attending were her family, Granpda & Grandma Anderson, Grandpa Roy, Jim & Kim & Family, the Wisemans and lots of Meagan's friends.

The day was even more special because Grandpa Anderson could be there. Lorin was in the hospital last week and we were afraid he wouldn't make it. He rallied back, and Meagan was thrilled to have him there.
